Frenchman's Creek Golf Course Community and Country Club, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida

Golf is a way of life at our luxurious Southern Florida country club. We have two 18-hole championship golf courses, a 50-space full-swing practice facility, a short-game practice area, two putting greens, a Pro Shop, a well-stocked beverage center and an instructional center with video analysis. Because we have 36-holes of golf and a select number of players, none of us ever waits for a tee time.

In the 1970's Frenchman's Creek was the home course of Jack Nicklaus, Toney Penna, and Gardner Dickinson. Many other former P.G.A. tour players visited Frenchman's to practice and play with Jack, Toney, and Gardner.

Often compared to a North Carolina-style course, our immaculate fairways, bordered by sparkling lakes and lush, native foliage, provide the perfect setting for a day on the links. Both of our courses have been recently redesigned. The North Course features the redesign work of Jim Fazio and the South Course boasts a Bob Cupp redesign.

Each course is a par 72 with a length of approximately 7,000 yards. Our lush, thick fairways give way to fast rolling greens. The many lakes and creeks that dot our two courses add challenge on a number of shots. Yet unlike other South Florida golf courses, water is not in play on every hole, and all handicap levels find challenges on either course.

"The surrounding community never interferes with the golf courses," says Golf Director Robert Bruno. "We don't have to cross between homes, and we only have one road crossing."

Our top-flight staff is ready to assist us in any way possible, with instruction, caddy service, cart attending and equipment and apparel sales. Robert oversees our club's busy schedule of 150 tournaments each year. These jovial and intense competitions include men's, women's and mixed couples events.

Inside our Pro Shop -- stocked with only the highest quality equipment, clothing and accessories -- we take advantage of a satellite weather station, a touch-screen handicap system and a touch-screen-tee time scheduling system. Our members-only website also gives us access to this scheduling program. When we want new clubs, we visit the instructional center and use the computerized fitting system.
