Achal Goswami Achal Goswami, Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer

Over 30 years in hotel, club and hospitality management in Europe, Asia and the United States combined with an unwavering philosophy of service, have earned Achal Goswami a well-deserved reputation as a visionary, strategic and inspirational leader.

A graduate of the prestigious Institute of Hotel Management in New Delhi, India, Mr. Goswami began his hospitality management career in Germany in 1975, where he also mastered the German language.

His European hotel management experience includes:

  • The Steigenberger Hotel Group in Dusseldorf which manages hotels in Germany, Austria, Italy, Egypt, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
  • Kempinski Hotels in Munich, the oldest luxury hotel collection in Europe with a portfolio of hotels in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, South America and Asia.
  • A five-year stint as owner and operator of Hotel Burg Ockenfels in Linz am Rhein, Germany.

After completing hotel management training programs in Germany, Belgium, Italy and France, Mr. Goswami further updated his business management studies at New York's Cornell University.

In 1987 he joined leading hospitality company Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts in Boston to assist with hotel openings in the U.S. before leaving to take an executive management position with The Ritz-Carlton hotels, Boston in 1990.

For the next five years Mr. Goswami held executive management positions at Ritz-Carlton in Boston, again assisting with hotel openings in Pasadena and Los Angeles, California; Aspen, Colorado; Jacksonville and Amelia Island, Florida; and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; until being recruited by Frenchman's Creek in 1995.

At Frenchman's Creek he is credited with a flawless record of member satisfaction that is reflected in both revenue and profit growth, and is responsible for all strategic, longrange and financial planning of both the Club and Community.

A frequent speaker at leadership seminars on hospitality management, Mr. Goswami is a respected member of the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA), the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and The Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, an international society originally established in France in 1248, dedicated to the promotion of the culinary, enology and hospitality arts through example, education and camaraderie.

Shalimar Fernandez Shalimar Fernandez, Director of Business Development

Shalimar is originally from Miami and is responsible for implementing an international marketing plan. She began her career in Miami specializing in Land Acquisition for Charter School Developers. She was later recruited to Palm Beach by the South African developer Sol Margolias, where she was responsible for local and international sales of a luxury Palm Beach development project. When the project was complete, Shalimar joined the international company, Playground/Intrawest, and was responsible for the sales and marketing of real estate resorts around the world. Shalimar will market and promote Frenchman’s Creek on a global level to inspire future residents.

Lynn Paige Lynn Paige, Director of Finance

With over 23 successful years in the hospitality industry, Lynn is an experienced, service-driven, hands-on Country Club, Property Owners Association and Resort Director of Finance.

After graduating from the University of Texas with a double major in Accounting and Business Data Systems, Lynn started a career with Hyatt Regency Hotels where she worked for eleven years and was cultivated with Hyatt Hotel's management philosophy, mission and dedication to exceptional customer service. Lynn was recruited by the Adam's Mark Hotel Company to reorganize and stabilize the distressed accounting operation in their newly acquired 462 room convention hotel located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

In 1995, Lynn was recruited by Noble House Hotels & Resorts to manage the financial operation at the Jupiter Beach Resort. Over the span of nine years she held the positions of Controller/Systems Administrator, Director of Finance and General Manager. As Director of Finance, Lynn assisted in the transition of the property into vacation ownership. As General Manager, Lynn was directly involved in the positioning of the property for acquisition and the preparation of the associated documentation, discovery and due diligence.

Lynn began a career at Frenchman's Creek in March of 2004. Working closely with the chairpersons of the Finance, Audit and Insurance committees she directs all aspects of the financial operation to include developing and overseeing a $22,000,000 budget for 600 Members of the Club and the Property Owners Association.

Lynn's passion is in training and development. She is certified to facilitate Stephen Covey's Seven Habits of Highly Effective People Signature & Fundamentals Programs. Lynn is also a certified Jazzercise Instructor.

Kyle Hatakeyama Kyle Hatakeyama, Director of Human Resources

Mr. Hatakeyama joined Frenchman's Creek in September 1995. He has been in the Hospitality business for the past 25 years. Kyle is the Director of Human Resources.

Blake Martin Blake Martin, Director of Security

Blake Martin, director of security, completed 26 years of service in the United States Air Force and retired as a chief master sergeant, the highest non-commissioned officer rank. Blake served in Vietnam during the Tet offensive of 1968 as a medical air evacuation technician, flying on many type fixed wing aircraft and helicopters, treating wounded and seriously injured casualties. Mr. Martin also served twice in Germany, Greece and several assignments in U.S. with the air force. He taught leadership and management, medical courses and security training. Blake graduated from Golden Gate University of San Francisco California with a master’s of business administration. He also completed a certificate program as a healthcare risk manager and several safety, security and customer service courses. Blake was the director of safety, security quality service, and facilities management at Jupiter Medical Center for 13 years and was the facilities manager for the Clerk and Comptroller of Palm Beach County for two years.

Lisa Moore Lisa Moore, Controller

Ms. Moore became a member of the accounting staff in February 2004 as Club Controller. Graduating Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA with a BSBA, majoring in accounting and finance with a minor in computers, she moved to Florida to enjoy the sunshine year round. She has been in the country club industry for the past 20 years locally here in Palm Beach County, and has gained her accounting experience from clubs such as PGA National, Ballen Isles, The President Country Club, the former Cypress Links now Dye Preserve, and Jupiter Hills.

Pietro Valentini Pietro Valentini, Director of Food & Beverage

Mr. Valentini is responsible for the successful day to day operations of the restaurants. He oversees Labor Cost Control, ensures all products are bidded out among competitors, trains the Staff, sets Procedures & Standards of Performance and maintains fiscal responsibility of the divisions operational budget. Mr. Valentini was General Manager of Rotties and worked extensively for the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company specializing as a pre-opening task force leader.

Bernd Linsenmayer Bernd Linsenmayer, Executive Chef

Chef Linsenmayer joined the Culinary Department as Executive Chef in September 2001. His professional experience includes Head Chef at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London as well as Plaza of the Americas Hotel in Texas.

Doug Foote Doug Foote, Catering Manager

Mr. Foote has been at Frenchman's Creek since August 2001. He graduated from Flagler College in St. Augustine. He has over 20 years of experience in the field of hospitality. He has worked at such restaurants as Cooker Bar & Grille in West Palm Beach, Bistro Zenith in Palm Beach Gardens, Lucille's Bad to Bone BBQ in Boca, Parker's Lighthouse Restaurant in Palm Beach Gardens, and Stouffer Restaurant Company.

Paul Lambrakis Paul Lambrakis, Restaurant Manager - 19th Hole

Mr. Lambrakis has been with Frenchman's Creek since October 1988. He has been in the hospitality business for 30 years. He owned 3 restaurants in Florida itself before he joined Frenchman's Creek. Paul is responsible for the smooth running of the 19th Hole for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and scheduling its Annual Budget. He also oversees the Card-Rooms and the Meeting Rooms for all the upcoming meetings.

Ashish Sethi Ashish Sethi, Manager, Main Dining Room

Ashish is originally from India and has been with Frenchman's Creek for the past 7 years. He completed his Diploma in Hotel Management from Hotel Institute Montreux (HIM), Switzerland in 1998. At Frenchman's Creek, he is responsible for all the operations of Main Dining Room which includes setting up for all major events like Thanksgiving Day, Christmas day, Valentine's day etc. He also supervises daily staff scheduling, handling problems and complaints and training the staff in accordance with the Club Standards.

Siska Sethi Siska Sethi, Beach Club Manager

Siska, originally from Indonesia, graduated with a degree in Hotel Management from National Hotel Institute of Indonesia. She joined several establishments in the hospitality industry for management training programs, such as Sheraton Hotel, A.B.R Holding Limited Singapore, Movenpick Hotel Zurich Switzerland. Siska has been with Frenchman’s Creek Country Club since 1998 and is responsible for managing the Beach Club.

Thayer Kern Thayer Kern, Beverage Manager

Mr. Kern started his appreciation of wine and spirits in the early 1990's working at Bern's Steak House in Tampa Florida. His professional service experience begins with Bern's Steak House followed by Assistant General Manager & Beverage Director at Ocean Grill in Vero Beach, Florida. Most recently, 3 years with Ibis Golf & Country Club as Food & Beverage Manager; Thayer was selected by Mr. Goswami to join Frenchman's Creek in February 2008.

Robert Bruno Robert Bruno, Director of Golf

Mr. Bruno has been part of the Frenchman's Golf team since November 1994. In 1996, he was selected as the 1996 South Florida PGA Apprentice of the Year. He oversees and manages the golf operations and provide and exceptional golf experience to all patrons and develops an innovative tournament program that services all member segments.

Tikki Srieud Tikki Srieud, Director of Tennis

Ms. Srieud joined Frenchman's Creek in October 1988. Tiki manages the entire Tennis Program including Social Events, Instructional Events, Interclub Matches, Competitions, Holiday and Kids Holiday Programs. She upkeeps and maintains the Tennis Facility up to the standards and safety of the members. Besides, she also takes care of the Tennis Shop.

Paul Raymond Paul Raymond, Director of Fitness

Paul Raymond, BS, NASM-CPT, NASM-PES, NASM-CES, joined Frenchman’s Creek in January of 2008. Before that he was the Director of Fitness and Spa at BallenIsles Country Club from 1998-2008. During that time Mr. Raymond was the Head Personal Trainer, certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine and oversaw a fitness program that included 25 employees. After earning a BS in Exercise Science from Buffalo State University, in New York, Paul moved to Florida and pursued his career in the fitness industry. Currently overseeing a staff of 40 and personal training revenue of over one million dollars, Paul is on pace for a second BS in Sports Management from the California University of Pennsylvania in 2010. Mr. Raymond is a Founding Board Member of the Club Spa and Fitness Association (CSFA) which is an organization developed to establish and set the best practices and to maintain superior standards and ethics for Fitness, Spa, and Wellness Professionals in the Private Club Industry.

Ron Brooks Ron Brooks, Director of Landscaping

Mr. Brooks rejoined Frenchman's Creek in 2001. He is originally from Lebanon, Connecticut but settled in Jupiter, Florida in 1979. He lived on the Dairy Farm for 17 years and then worked in the army for 4 years. Mr. Brooks is involved in the planning, designing and improving all the houses and common area. 60% of his job is overseeing landscape maintenance; contractor and contract follow up with all the schedules. He also provides Lateral Support Service to the Clubhouse and all the contractors.

Kathy O'Brien Kathy O'Brien, Director of Community Relations

Mrs. O'Brien is the one employee that has been with Frenchman's Creek since its beginning when it was just a trailer. She has been a member of the Frenchman's Creek team since December 1985. She provides administrative support to the Executive Director and serves as a liason between POA and the homeowner; and supports the efforts of the Architectural Review Board, Real Estate Oversight Committee and the Security department.

Wesley Dillard Wesley Dillard, Director - Golf Course Operations

Wesley has been working with Frenchman's Creek for over 10 years now. Until now, he was working as the Superintendent of Golf Course Maintenance. Together with a team of 45 people, Wes is responsible for upholding and maintaining the 36 holes of the 2 Golf Courses- North Course and the South Course. Wes also sets up and implements the annual Maintenance Facility Budget.

Bilian Hadjiev, Housekeeping Manager Bilian Hadjiev, Housekeeping Manager

Bilian has been with Frenchman's Creek since October of 2003. He is currently managing Housekeeping and Transportation Services. He also assures financial and operational efficiency for valet and overnight cleaning services. Mr. Hadjiev holds a Hospitality management certificate from American Hotel and Lodging Association, a BA in Hospitality management from COTHM, Cyprus, and he has recently been awarded with an MBA in International Business Management from Florida Atlantic University.
